Lois Loop accepted an award on behalf of the Oregon Farm Service Agency for implementing the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program.

The Oregon Farm Service Agency received the 2011 President’s Partnership Award from the Oregon Association of Conservation Districts for their work in the successful implementation of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP).

The office received the joint award along with the Oregon Soil and Water Conservation Commission and the state’s Department of Agriculture, Watershed Enhancement Board and Natural Resources Conservation Service to recognize the collaborative effort of all agencies.

“This award is a tribute to the efforts of the FSA county office staff in working with the partners at the local level to put CREP on the ground,” said Lois Loop, Oregon FSA program technician who accepted the award during the Network of Oregon Watershed Councils Conference.

“Thank you again for reaching out to others, partnering and collaborating with them, and accomplishing conservation outcomes that could not be achieved by FSA alone,” said Oregon State Executive Director Lynn Voigt in an email to staff members. “The value of your work is appreciated far more than you might think.”
